Crowfoot Skating Club: Policies, Rules and Regulations

The Crowfoot Skating Club offers a STARSkate Program for those skaters who are wishing to test and/or compete. The test program has three main disciplines, which are Skating Skills, Freeskate and Dance. Similar to last year, the ice times for this fall/winter have been labeled as Junior, Senior, or Mixed(Open). general guidelines for our Club:

Junior: Star 1-4

Senior: Star 5-10

Mixed: Junior and Senior

It is at the head STARSkate coach's discretion as to which session a skater will be designated.  During the mixed sessions it will be the responsibility of all skaters to keep their heads up for the other skaters.

Prior to registration you must choose a coach and contact them to determine if they have space available and if so what days, type and number of lessons per week they can give your skater. Lesson fee rates are for 15 minute private lessons. Group lessons and rates should be discussed with your coach. Please see listing of Crowfoot Skating Club Coaches.

Skaters will pay for the ice cost at registration and then organize and pay for private lessons separately with the coach of their choice.

Volunteer  Information - CROWFOOT SKATING CLUB MEMBERS

Family participation is required for the effective and successful operation of our club. For each skater registered, a parent/guardian is REQUIRED to sign up for one volunteer position. If you have two skaters skating with our club, you are required to choose two volunteer positions. A list of positions may be located at the volunteer sign up link on the registration page (left handed side menu). A volunteer deposit of $300 will be charged at the beginning of the skating season, families must fulfill 10 volunteer hours per skater registered. Once the volunteer hours is fulfilled a refund will be issued. If you choose not to volunteer, then please choose the $300 volunteer buy out option at checkout.

There are also positions on the Executive Board that would fulfill the volunteer commitment. These positions will require an additional commitment of attending meetings. Your executive is made up of skating parents who are volunteering their time to help our club succeed.  Board meetings are hosted on a Wednesday evening once every second month.  If you become part of the executive and attend all of the scheduled meetings, the club will offer your skater (1 skater only) a week of ice time during a June session.
