THE CROWFOOT SKATING CLUB

A Proud Member of Skate Canada

The Crowfoot Skating Club offers the Skate Canada Programs Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, Junior Development, STARSkate, and Competitive Skate.

Our programs are taught by certified Skate Canada coaches from September through July.

We are a not for profit, volunteer run organization dedicated to inspiring a love for skating.

Our programs are offered at the Crowfoot Arena, Norma Bush Arena, and Rocky Ridge Arena in Calgary, Alberta.

Crowfoot Skating Club Programs

The Crowfoot Skating Club offers the Skate Canada Programs Pre-CanSkate, CanSkate, Junior Development, STARSkate, and Competitive Skate. Our programs are taught by certified Skate Canada coaches from September through July.

Learning to Skate?

Our dynamic learn-to-skate programs Pre-CanSkate and CanSkate focus on fun, participation and basic skill development. Based on Sport Canada’s long term athlete development (LTAD) principles, CanSkate centers on physical literacy and the fundamental skills needed to take part in hockey, ringette, figure skating, speed skating or leisure skating.

CanSkate Pre-CanSkate	Junior Development	STARSkate	Competitive Skate

Pre-CanSkate and CanSkate are dynamic learn-to-skate programs designed to develop skating skills for hockey, ringette, figure skating, speed skating and leisure skating.	Junior Development is a figure skating program for skaters who have successfully completed the CanSkate program (Stage 3 or higher) and have a coaches' recommendation to attend.	STARSkate is a figure skating program for skaters to develop their fundamental skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive.	Competitive Skate is a figure skating program for skaters who wish to compete in qualifying events within Skate Canada. Skaters must have a coaches' recommendation.
